This year marks the 10th Annual Jackie Mack & More Commission Mission Award, a milestone we could not be prouder to reach in the town that has shaped our entire business. When we opened nominations in August, Evanston residents put forward more than thirty nonprofits doing work they believe in, everything from youth programs to the arts to food security across our neighborhoods, and now that the nominating window has closed, it is time for the community that knows these organizations best to decide who receives a share of a $10,000 commission check.
What Is the Jackie Mack & More Commission Mission Award?
The Commission Mission Award is our way of combining a love of Evanston with a career built entirely in this town. Each year, we set aside a portion of a commission check, currently $10,000, for local nonprofits chosen entirely by Evanston. Neighbors nominate the charities doing work they believe in, right here in the community they serve, and then everyone gets to vote for their favorites. The six nonprofits with the most votes split the award, with amounts ranging from $5,000 down to $500 depending on where they land, and each organization is free to use its share however best serves its mission in Evanston.
How to Vote for Your Favorite Evanston Nonprofit
Voting opened on September 8, 2026, and runs through September 21, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. This year’s format is a single round, one vote per email address, so we encourage every Evanston resident to cast a vote before the window closes.

2025 Commission Mission Award Recipients
Last year’s six recipients were a wonderful reminder of just how much good work is happening across Evanston: Amal International ($5,000), Black Women of Evanston ($2,000), Ivy Pearl Foundation ($1,000), Chicago Ballet Arts ($1,000), Cherry Preschool ($500), and Evanston Made ($500). We are looking forward to seeing which Evanston nonprofits earn their place on this year’s list.
