Apr 15, 2022

Evanston is known as the culinary capitol of the North Shore, the destination where you can find virtually any type of cuisine. But there is nothing more comfortable and classic than the burger.

And Evanston is known for serving up some great burgers too.

From the classic all-beef (including angus) hamburger and cheeseburger to the turkey, lamb, salmon, and bison burger, to vegetarian friendly black bean, falafel, Impossible, Beyond, and more, Evanston has a restaurant that caters to your dining desire.

And your options for additional toppings beyond the traditional lettuce, tomato, and pickle are just as diverse (and tasty): bacon, egg, deep fried onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, and more to wide range of cheeses that include the tried-and-true cheddar and American to more adventurous options of Swiss, pepper jack, gouda, gruyere, white queso, blue, and others.

Some establishments serve up their burgers on a classic bun while others give you the option of whole wheat, pita, brioche, pretzel roll – you name it.

Finally, at some, you can find patty melts or sliders.

So, check out the list below and click on their menus to find the place that is right for you. Since Evanston has a vibrant restaurant scene, new establishments are opening all of the time.
